Communicating life’s narrative through words, images, and videos
I do a lot with words, and with images, through channels like photography, video production, desktop publishing, website design and development, mixed media art, social media, and blogging. I like to express my understanding of what I see and experience through the lens of my camera, or my keyboard. And I like to help others tell their stories through these same channels.
This journey is ever expanding our understanding of communication’s power and reach, and transforming the ways we communicate. Stone tablets, to paper tablets, to digital tablets. Canvas to silver nitrate, to SD memory cards. Town square, to newspaper, to broadcast, to internet. But the essential components—words and images—remain the primary tools for any venture in communication. A word or an image can say a lot, but so much more together.
And underlying all these tangents is the question: How are my efforts increasing understanding, insight, concord, and hope in the world?
